If you haven’t browsed it yet, be sure and do so soon! Some of our clients are not only new to us, but have never used professional help for their interior design needs before. One of the first questions we get asked is “how much will it cost, and how do we pay you?” There are several ways we get compensated for our professional services. Which way we will work with you depends on the situation and your personal preferences.
We start by setting up an appointment to review your requirements and make design recommendations that fit your needs. The initial meeting is for up to two hours, and for that we charge a $300 minimum consultation fee. You will receive our recommendations on paint colours, floor coverings, window treatments, or whatever other advice you need. In some cases, that is all the client wants. However, we will credit this fee toward future purchases if you decide to use our services and vendors. If more distant travel is required, we naturally need to charge extra. 1. In most cases, our clients continue to use us after the initial consultation, and purchase materials, furnishings, and services from us. In this case there will be no additional charges for product selection and specification if purchased through our company. 2. In other cases, our clients prefer to pay us an hourly rate ($75 per hour), usually in ten hour increments, and do their own purchasing, construction, and installation using our guidance for material and colour selection. 3. Sometimes, especially for very large projects, the client will prefer to pay us a negotiated flat fee for designing and managing the entire project, plus 20% of purchases made through our company to obtain our discounts.
In any of the three cases (or combination thereof) you will receive professional services that enhance the beauty, usefulness, value, and safety of your home. Of course we have many references.
